WHAT HAVE I LEARN?
Our lecturer Dr. Adelene Song, give some explanation on how to do the lab report. She also taught the introduction of basic laboratory techniques. We learn about the name of laboratory apparatus and transfer instrument , the forms of agar media. Dr Adelene told us about the aim of aseptic technique is not sterilization but is to reduce the contamination from environment and also who which conduct the experiment.
So the first experiment is about the culture transfer techniques. We learn how to transfer microorganisms from one medium to another medium which call '' subculture ''. Aseptic technique is very important during the transfer of organisms or else other organisms from surrounding may also being transfer inside the medium. Orange-red pigment which found inside the medium after a day are the microorganisms we transfer that successfully grow.
